Product Review: Revlon Nail Enamel in Ruby Ribbon

Revlon Nail Enamel
I've had something of a nail polish obsession for the past few years. Previously, it was all about the "it" bag but as times have progressed, it's nail polishes which have commanded lengthy waiting lists and made headlines. They are affordable and instantly update your look. It's at this point which I feel it appropriate to give a shout-out to one of my favourite blogs, http://www.scrangie.com/, a wonderful encyclopedia for nail addicts.
Having said this, I simply can't come around to matte nail polishes. I'm quite classic in my approach, prefering vampy shades or classic reds with OPI Chick Flick Cherry red featuring amongst my favourites & love a glossy finish. However, when trialling Revlon's Ruby Ribbon shade from their new AW collection, I tried to keep an open mind, particularly as I'm a huge fan of Revlon nail polishes. I think they offer fantastic quality and the price point (£6.29) is realistic. It's an on-trend, blood red with subtle shimmer to add a texture in contrast to the matte finish. I liked the formula- smooth yet sufficiently pigmented so that it doesn't require lots of time-consuming coats to be applied. As with other shades I've tried from the range, I was impressed with the lasting results of this shade.
