Speed Review: Eco Warrior Sensitive Scalp Shampoo Bar

I'm not typically someone who chooses shampoo bars. I know they're a more eco-friendly option than bottles but I'm so accustomed to the latter format and tend to stick to what I know. Nonetheless, I thought I'd try a plastic-free option in keeping with July's theme and this one from Eco Warrior appealed to me as I have a sensitive scalp.
As you can see, the shampoo bar itself is a classic, off-white rectangular bar and is embossed with the brand name. It's presented in a cardboard box but the design means that it doesn't come across as worthy or preachy. The packaging clearly communicates what the product is and I found the directions for use easy to follow. In the shower, I found that the rectangular shape of the shampoo bar made it easy to hold. I was impressed at how easily I was able to create a rich and generous lather, despite being sulphate free. It's made with pure essential oils including Mint and Eucalyptus and also contains White Clay and Clary Sage Oil but in spite of this, had a very subtle scent which didn't particularly add to the usage experience- I didn't notice any lingering scent following use. I'd describe rinsability as average. It did feel as though there was some residue or coating left on my hair, compared to when I use my usual bottle shampoos and I also noticed more knots despite having fine hair (I definitely think you'd need to follow with conditioner). That said, my scalp did feel soothed and not irritated so I feel it delivers on the claims of being suitable for those with sensitivity. Eco Warrior Sensitive Scalp Shampoo Bar is vegan-friendly, cruelty free and made using certified sustainable palm oil. It costs £5.50 for 100g which I feel represents good value for money as I'd expect the bar to last a long time.
